Frequently Asked Questions

Ordering

When can I place an order? Orders are accepted Sunday through Thursday each week.

When is the order deadline? Orders close Thursday evening for that week's delivery.

Is there a minimum order? Yes — orders have a $25 minimum.

Can I order more than once a week? Currently we fulfill one delivery per customer per week on Saturdays.

Delivery

What areas do you deliver to? We currently deliver to the Brighton area — zip codes 48116 and 48114. More areas coming soon.

When will my order arrive? All deliveries are made on Saturdays within our standard 3-hour delivery window. You'll receive a text notification when your driver is a few stops away, followed by a delivery confirmation text with a photo once your order has been placed at your door.

How much is delivery? Delivery is $8 per order. Your first delivery is free with code LOCALFIRST.

Does my driver bring items inside? Drivers deliver to your door and are not permitted to enter your home. Please ensure your address is clearly visible and accessible for a smooth handoff.

Who is responsible for my order after delivery? Humble Harvest Co. is responsible for your order until it is successfully placed at your door. Once delivery is confirmed with a photo, responsibility transfers to the customer. We are not liable for theft or damage that occurs after a successful delivery.

We strongly recommend being available to collect your order right away, especially during warmer months. If you won't be home, leave a cooler at your door — your driver will place your order inside it.

Should I tip my driver? Tips are never required but always appreciated. Our drivers are paid a flat fee per delivery and any tip goes directly to them as a thank you for getting your fresh local goods to your door.

Any tips for a smooth delivery? Make sure your house number is clearly visible from the street. For evening deliveries, turning on your porch light helps your driver find you quickly. If you have a gate code or specific drop-off instructions, add them to your order notes at checkout.

Products

Where does the food come from? Everything on Humble Harvest comes from local farmers, bakers, artisans, and craftspeople in and around the Brighton area. We know our vendors personally.

Is the food organic? Not all vendors are certified organic, but all products are locally grown or made. Many of our vendors use natural growing practices — check individual product listings for details.

What if a product I ordered is unavailable? If a product becomes unavailable we will contact you before delivery to offer a substitution or refund for that item.

Do you carry cottage food products like homemade bread or baked goods? Yes — some of our vendors operate under Michigan's Cottage Food Law. These products are made in home kitchens and clearly labeled as such.

Freshness & Quality

How fresh is the food? Most produce and goods are harvested or prepared within days of your delivery — significantly fresher than grocery store alternatives.

What is your freshness guarantee? If you're not satisfied with the freshness or quality of any product, contact us with 24 hours of delivery and we'll make it right. No hassle.

Vendors

Where are your vendors located? All of our vendors are local to Southeast Michigan. You're not just buying local — you're buying from your neighbors.

I'm a local farmer or producer — how do I get listed? We'd love to hear from you. Visit our Vendor Sign-Up page or email us at harvest@humbleharvestco.com to start the conversation.

How does pricing work for vendors? Vendors set their own prices. Humble Harvest adds a small platform fee to cover operations and delivery logistics.

Account & Payments

Do I need an account to order? Yes — creating a free account lets you track orders, save your delivery address, and reorder easily.

What payment methods do you accept? We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure checkout.

Can I cancel or modify my order? Orders can be modified or cancelled before Thursday's cutoff. Contact us at harvest@humbleharvestco.com as soon as possible.
